About the Role

Essential:
• NEBOSH General/Construction Certificate or equivalent (e.g., IOSH, OSHA).
• Proven experience within Onshore wind projects or large scale construction or
energy projects.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety laws and best practices.
• Experience conducting risk assessments and site audits.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to work at height and in remote environments.
• Full driving license (for site visits).
• GOW certifications
Desirable:
• NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety Management).
• First Aid or Emergency Response training.
• Experience with environmental regulations and compliance in wind energy.

Requirements

To ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations on onshore wind farm projects. Responsible for implementing safety procedures, conducting risk assessments, and promoting a strong safety culture among employees, contractors, and stakeholders.

About the Company

Health & Safety Compliance:
• Ensure compliance with all relevant HSE legislation (e.g., UK Health and Safety
at Work Act)
• Develop and implement site-specific health and safety policies, procedures, and
risk assessments.
• Monitor and enforce adherence to company and industry safety standards.
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards.
Risk Assessment & Incident Management:
• Conduct risk assessments and implement control measures.
• Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, ensuring root causes are
identified and corrective actions are taken.
• Maintain records and reports related to incidents, inspections, and safety
performance.
Training & Safety Culture:
• Deliver safety training and toolbox talks to site personnel.
• Promote a strong safety culture, ensuring all workers and contractors
understand their responsibilities.
• Ensure induction training for new staff and contractors includes safety protocols.
Emergency Response & Compliance Audits:
• Develop and implement emergency response plans.
• Conduct emergency drills and ensure all personnel understand procedures.
• Support external audits and regulatory inspections.
Environmental & Permit Compliance (if applicable):
• Monitor environmental impact and ensure adherence to environmental
regulations.
• Work with environmental officers to mitigate risks such as noise pollution,
wildlife protection, and waste management.
